â Big Tripeaks Solitaire FAQs
What is Big Tripeaks Solitaire?
Big Tripeaks Solitaire is a TriPeaks-style card game where the goal is to clear every card from the layout. You play cards that are 1 rank higher or 1 rank lower than the open card, and suits don't matter. The game uses very big levels, so each round can take longer than a standard TriPeaks layout.
How do you play?
You start with one open card in the waste pile and a tableau built into three peaks. From there, you pick any open card that is one value above or below the current card. After you play a card, that card becomes the new open card, and the chain continues.
What does "open card" mean in this game?
An open card is a card that isn't covered by another card. Only those cards can be selected. As you remove cards, more cards become open, so the board slowly opens up and gives you new options.
Do suit colors matter?
No, suit and color usually don't matter. The game only cares about rank, so a 7 can match with a 6 or an 8. That keeps the focus on planning your next move, not on matching suits.
What happens when you get stuck?
If no open card fits the current card, you click the stock pile to get a new open card. That gives you another chance to make a move. Since the stock is limited, it's smart to use it only when you really need it.
